  • A Quick Update for Xanga Peoples

I will have been married for a year this coming weekend.  November 1.  It is the single best thing I have ever done on Earth.  Marriage is exhausting, it is difficult, it requires more transparency than we are often ready to give and it has a way of teaching us about God and about our own humanity.  There is nothing like it.

I am so thankful for Kaitlin.  She keeps me grounded, encourages me to dream and is always ready to help bandage the wounds when I fail.  I don't know what I would do without her.

In the past year I have grown up, become focused, accomplished much more than usual.  I wrote and produced a short that should be up on the interwebs soon.  I have organized and written quite a bit.  I am gearing up to finish up a novel in November, one that seems to have a lot of promise.

I have a great wife.  I have an incredible church.  I am learning to enjoy my wonderful friends.  I have a very big God.

Things are not perfect, but all of this is a mirror darkly.  Keeping that in mind helps.

  • Update

    6 Months on May 1!

And it's still the best thing I've ever done.

    It always will be.

Nobody makes me laugh like her.  Nobody makes me want to want it like her.  She's the best thing that has ever happened to me, aside from Christ himself.

I don't know what I would do without her.

  • Forward >>

Spring is finally starting to edge into the days and I couldn't be happier.  Winter is depressing - Spring and Summer give me a clearer head and happier vibes.

With any luck we will film Sacrament over two Sundays in May, then hopefully get it off to Jerelle to score for an August 1 premiere.  With the premiere of Sacrament comes to launching of Asael Media as a brand.  I've been putting together a long term plan for building the brand up as a presence on the web and, eventually, theatrically.  But that's a very long term plan with some productions in-between that I'm really excited to be developing.

Kate and I are doing great.  We love each other a little more every day.  I don't know what I would do without her, or how I did it without her before.  I'm not convinced that I did very much of substance before I got married.  It is unexplainable, but it changes you.  Completes some things.

Not much else to report.  THOUGH, I will say that I watch the trailer for STAR TREK like, every friggin' day.  I haven't felt like a little kid about a movie, like this, in a long time.  I can't wait!!

  • Settling In, Moving Forward

Our heat has been fixed for a couple of weeks now and we're on the last leg of unpacking and settling in.  Meanwhile, Kate is finishing up her last semester and I'm doing a rewrite on Consecro as we finish up casting and logistics.

Not a whole lot else to report.

    Love!
